I had hoped to have something good to post, but I’ve been preoccupied with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, St.Cloud Lodge #2843. I am Leading Knight this year, and we have had our annual MN Association President visit last weekend, coinciding with a Vikings game Pizza feast at the VA Medical Center, and today our District Deputy audit and visit.
I’m also planning a benefit on November 21st, called “An Evening of Jazz” featuring musician Clark Yost, to raise money for our youth programs including the Minnesota Elks Youth Camp in Nisswa MN. as well as annual events such as the Soccer shoot and Hoop Shoot, among other things. This evening, we will be entertaining our District Deputy and other dignitaries visiting our lodge, as well as ourselves, at the annual Lodge Halloween Party. I hope everyone has an enjoyable and SAFE Halloween, Samhain, All Saints Day, All Souls Day, or just a great weekend… whichever applies.
